external antenna adaptor for cisco pcmcia wifi card

i was wondering what kind of antenna adaptor i need to hook a standard linksys high gain antenna to a cisco aironet ABG pcmcia card? the antenna connectors are not normally visible unless you peel off the sticker in the antenna portion of the card that sticks out. i melted away some of the plastic so they would be more accessable, and i can connect antenni that i pulled from a dead laptop. you know, the clip on type for internal cards. i was wondering if theres a cable i can get with that type of end on one side, and reverse tnc on the other?

They make them Tony.. I don't remember the size, but it is a standard size for Coaxial connections.

I know RG/6 is the big stuff the cable companies use, but I don't know if that RG/? converts to the smaller or what.

What you need is a pigtail adapter cable, much easier than soldering those U.FL connectors.

dang. $20 a cable is crazy. maybe ill try to find a dead linksys router, rip the jacks out, and make my own lol. ive already for the first two thirds of the cable lol. i hear its pretty hard to strip that thin coax but im sure i can pull it off if i take my time.

If you've already got the mini end and some coax then soldering / crimping on an reverse TNC is a piece of cake...
