Shopped a bit to get the best of two. Had to move quickly to get the colors and fluidity how I wanted it, and the picture suffered a bit as a result, so I did some recombination.

I got some new software for my camera that gave me control of the shutter speed, ISO, etc. I have really really wanted to try some long exposure night shots. I set it up for a 64 second shutter speed and pointed it at the moon. Well, the first fail was that the flash went off, so I picked it up, tried to turn it off because I was too anxious to wait the 64 seconds. That didn't work, so I ended up giving up and putting it back. When I got the pics of my camera, this was there from that shot--the bright streak must have been the full moon. I think it ended up looking kinda artsy, like a Pollock.

Ruined Computer Parts

This will take a little explanation- I don't have any ruined computer parts. But that idea inspired me to think about the ruined medical pumps at the back of the warehouse where I work. The pumps there are all mini computers in and of themselves, and there's just hundreds of them sitting there. This was my favorite photo that I snapped, of the cords hanging off of the shelving.

8/5/09- What's for dinner?

Now, I'll admit that I cheated a little bit with this one, since Primesuspect actually photoedited it for me, since I was completely clueless as to how. I know a little bit more about it now, but he'd already done this one...so...

It's really only edited to get some of the yellow light out, so I figure it's okay.

I know the idea is for us to be inspired to go out and take pictures, but since things look to be slowing down, I'll post an old one just to keep the thread going. I took this in April 2008 in Boston.

HP 733 P&S camera. ISO-85 according to the exif. No post other than resize and one clone stamp to remove a dust flake. I considered cropping out the modern-looking building in the bottom left, and the other part of the church in the bottom left that isn't silhouetted, but I didn't like the results.
