Move over Jack Thompson and the video games make people kill people crowd. Now we have Willie Jefferson and the everything with a black person in it is racist crowd honing in on your spotlight. PATHETIC.

There are also female Zombies, any femmes taking aim?
However, I do agree with Willie Jefferson. I didn't see any G,L,B zombies, did not see any asian, latino, or middle eastern zombies (or I just couldn't distinguish in the trailer), and I didn't see physically challenged or morbidly obese zombies (probably because zombies have active lifestyles).

Is there a L4D2 boycott I can join or something?!?!

How do you play L4D or watch the L4D2 trailer and miss the boomers? If ever there was a morbidly obese zombie the boomers qualify!

I would think being a zombie in and of itself would count as being "physically challenged" what with random chunks of your body quite often being missing or easily detached.

No morbidly obese zombies is easy to explain. Refer to above missing chunks of body.

There SHOULD be asian / mexican / latino / etc etc zombies in a game that fully accounts for all possible racial mix. However, it also jumps to mind that white skin vs dark skin is a MUCH easier distinction, visibly, to see... facial features could easily be lost in whatever process causes zombification.

Its all besides the point. The article is a sham anyway. Here is Willie's outrageous blog with the original article, it's doing exactly what he wants the article to do, its not about race. Its about making Willie Jefferson famous.

True, it probably is just all about getting famous. The kind of fame he's gaining though can easily backfire when people like us point out how absurd he is being. Going back to my Jack Thompson comparison, he was disbarred for some of the things he did and said just to "get famous" by railing against video games. One can only hope a smiliar thing happens here in that Willie is completely discredited and widely regarded as a nut job not to be taken seriously.

I actually looked at his article. He admits he has no problem with GTA 4 and actually uses GTA 4 as a "good" example of a "non-racist" game. I'm his biggest fan now. I'll be reading his blog from now on, waiting for his self destruction.

Is GTA4 not racist cause it's whites killing whites or... ?

/me leaves to ponder question.

They should have just made it more like Resident Evil 4 where I can play as an American running around Spain killing all the plaga infested locals without raising an eyebrow. I mean clearly no one cared about all the poor Spaniards harmed in that game and why should they? It's just a game. But suddenly you get these games like "Left 4 Dead 2" and "Resident Evil 5" and "Kill All The Darkies." Games obviously funded and programmed by the KKK to degrade race relations in the United States. You should all be ashamed to play such hate mongering filth. If they really want to avoid stirring up racial tensions with these games they can keep the setting in Africa and New Orleans, they can keep a few black zombies but they need to make the majority of the enemies caucasian males and Spanish people and all playable characters need to be Louis from the first L4D. Nothing racist about that, problem solved.

No one here is even broaching the real issue... what about the disenfranchisement of the "living challenged" (or as your lifeist pigs call them, the zombies)? Games like L4D2 callously treat them like targets for your whimsical pleasure. The living challenged deserve to be treated the same as everyone else! End this discrimination now!

The Confederacy, as far as I am concerned, wanted to keep their cheap slave labor and the like. I can not stand the Confederate flag... To me, the flag represents hate -- and offends me and many others to no end. [It] made me wonder how much research Ubisoft did for this game ...

Just makes him even more ignorant. The Confederate States of America had many different ideas that were different from the United States. While one of them was slavery, the mas cause of the sucession of the states was states' rights. If someone finds the Southern Cross offensive, then they need a lesson in what it really stands for.

States rights... Like the right to slavery? Ahem.

The entire U.S. was engaged in slavery at the time. It wasn't like the South was for slavery and the North wasn't. It was simply that the South used more slaves due to the nature of their industry, i.e. the plantations. When the South was being pressured economically by special interest groups lobbying Congress to give northern manufactorers less barriers to trade and other economic special advantages it soon became apparent that yet another effective measure could be taken in restricting slavery (because it was yet another way to hurt them economically, more than it would hurt the North at any rate).

Then there's that small part about the Civil War being entirely about whether or not the South had the right to secede (which was encompassed by the State vs. Federal rights fight).

To claim that the Civil War was about slavery, even in the most remote of ways, is a severe white-washing of history.

Actually, last I read, most of the northern states had outlawed slavery. Most of them would return escaped slaves to the southern states if captured there but some refused to.

Washington freed his slaves on his death thanks to a loophole in Virgina state law as well. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Washington_and_slavery#George_Washington.27s_slaves
