View Full Version : Proof that Lynx is a Weeaboo.
Grimnoc
21 Jul 2009, 1:15am
Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury,
I hold it in good information that Lynx, of whose personage the title of 'weeaboo' has been granted (though he promptly dismisses such a not-honor), is in fact a confirmed 'weeaboo.'
This is not, as some(Lynx) may claim, a "trumped-up charge." Nay, my dear Icrontians, it is sadly the truth. And from whose filthy lips did this damning information pass forth to my divine ears? Why, none other than the big cat himself (no, not FatCat)! Yes! It's true! It was Lynx who knighted himself under the flag of weeabooism.
I, your humble Grimnoc, prostate before all my peers, must depart unto you Lynx's darkest confessions. What a world that my hand is forced into betraying action against my dear friend! But his betrayal of the West must
not go unpunished! If only he were to confess, we as his friends may find pity enough in our hearts to absolve him of his crimes, but lo!, it is a stubborn heart we face.
And now, know this; I visited Lynx at his dark lair of cameras, newscasters, and brainwashing apparatus. It was in this place of disease and pestilence, as his evil smile blazed in the black, that my soul did tremble at what his then grasping hand sought from his bag of many secrets.
What blasphemy would be brought unto my vision? What object could possibly reduce my mind to that of a shrieking, horror-blasted lunatic?
Star Wars, reinvisioned as Manga.
Before passing from this material world into that of dreams and the ephemeral, I glimpsed before my wavering vision a second horror born; a second volume issuing forth from that cursed, unholy bag of hell.
*True story, and seriously, Lynx is a weeaboo.
EPIC was all the proof I needed.
DAMN HIM TO THE DEPTHS.... Down to Lynx, King Weeaboo!!! ;D

Et tu, Bruté?
Even my closest of friends have abandoned and exposed me. I thought I knew you, Grimnoc. I thought I could trust you.
This feeling.... this sick to my stomach pang that tells me that the good fight is over..
You won't get away with this Grimnoc.

It really couldn't. The only think left for Wea- I mean Lynx to do is admit it to himself, to God, and to the rest of us. We know it - the last step is acceptance.

Definition 2, specifically.
Ok. Here goes.
I watch some anime. Only good stuff. I became exposed to anime because of my interest in being an animator. To understand anime is just as crucial to an animator as understanding american animation, stop-motion, and computer. It's a style that defined the art. I discovered a medium that still housed good stories. I'm a sucker for storytelling, no matter the medium.
The only manga I have ever read is Star Wars. (I do want to read Trigun)
I play fighting games. Guilty Gear is a great series. I'd play BlazBlue if I had a PS3. I play Atlas games because I love the style and frustrated-to-death challenge in them.
I like sushi. I liked sushi long before I even knew what weaboo meant. Pocky as well, for the most part.
Asian women are generally attractive. Prove me wrong.
I visit 4Chan frequently. The only boards that I read are /v/, /a/, /co/ and /g/. /a/ is the least frequently visited of the four.
I have played some VNs, and liked them. Interactive storytelling FTW.
I'd suggest this hardly qualifies me as a weaboo. I don't have any moe girl action figures on my desk, I don't have a life-sized pillow with a japanese schoolgirl drawn upon, I don't spout 'KAWAII DESU! NO BAKA!' left and right, I don't have a waifu, I don't watch Lucky Star.
There. There it is.

Does the thought of a new Miyazaki movie make you giddy?
If somebody says Cowboy Bebop is the greatest anime of all time, do you counter with a Studio Gainax series?
Do you download fansubs?
JAST games?
Have you ever cosplayed?

For other people, these might indicate the possibility that they are weeaboos. Luckily for us, Lynx has no need for such trivialities, as his weeaboo status is already assured.

god I hate dubbed anime, dakota fanning ruined "my neighbor totoro" but then again I just hate that girl. at least the anime had both language tracks, I was easily able to forget she ruined the american release.
loving anime and asian girls is different than being a weeaboo

I have to say I'm not a fan of sushi. I've had california rolls and it was okay. I think it comes down to the fact that I really don't like raw food... of any kind... except fruit. Raw veggies, for some reason, set off my gag reflex.

Playing JRPGs doesn't make you a weeaboo. Most RPGs are JRPGs. It's everything else that gets you flagged.

I stand corrected. Sorry Lynx that was my defense attempt.
Alright, alright. I admit it, I'm a recovering weeaboo. The proof that I was one? I recognized the music that played along with Canti's picture in Mind of UPSLynx. Hell, I could sing along with it if you really asked me to.
I never would have imagined. ANNE BAYNES? No, seriously, this is Thrax in his 100% most surprised form.
