So how's L4D online?

As topic asks. I tried running a couple single player campaigns yesterday (first time I've launched the game since I grabbed it via half-price sale) and found it was pretty fun, so I wanna know how the multiplayer is, and if there's an active icrontic community.

If you're on PC, we play a lot and the online is usually pretty good, unless they've just released a server update and almost nobody's updated their server yet.
