Though none of you ever met my wife, Teresa, many of you have shared in stories about her whether it was some new animal or another medical problem. It is with great sorrow that I now share with you the news of her passing away last Thursday, July 23.

The funeral home set up an online memorial (http://www.mem.com/Story.aspx?ID=3115239) for her if anyone would care to see it.

I'm just checking in to let you all know that I'm making it day by day thanks to family, friends and faith.

I found a place online that does oil paintings from photographs so I placed an order to have Teresa's picture painted on a 20x24 canvas.

I haven't sold the peacocks yet. I convinced myself to put them on craigslist last week but I didn't get any responses. Guess I'll list them again. I ordered a painting of peacocks on eBay to replace the live peacocks (if I ever do sell them).

They finished the painting and sent me a picture of it today. I should receive the painting in 7-8 days. I'm excited! :)

Whomever or wherever, they did a great job based on the photo they sent me.

I received the painting and it looks great.

I also received a picture of the grave marker yesterday (I'm in Seattle for two weeks). It has an image of a tractor, barn and farm fencing which I thought was appropriate. My mom is going to check on the marker and place some flowers since I can't get there for a couple of weeks.
