I'm having a hard time finding any examples of it actually being used, but there's a PHP wrapper (http://www.phpflickr.com/) for the Flickr API that might enable a slicker interface for us to peruse submitted photos as the collection grows.
These folks (http://www.internaldrive.com/2009/04/30/integrating-flickr-with-vbulletin/) claim they've integrated it into their vBulletin forum.
