"San Diego" / "Winchester" should bring us the increase in clock speeds in 2H04!

See it here (http://www.techimo.com/articles/i147.html)

Of the San Diego and Winchester, the Winchester interests me more.

Looks like the creative department at AMD got laid off.. Now they're picking codenames by using a guy named Ed closing his eyes and pointing at a city.

No better than the guy named Bob who randomly selected horse names.

Mustang, Palomino, Thoroughbred, et. al.

Why not, Intel has river names taken as method of nomenclature.... :D But, if AMD takes the world by storm city by city and country by country, this could get interesting.... :wry: :D

Just wait until you see them with the names "Bert, Ernie, Big Bird, Grouch, Elmo....".

So, what do I wan't to be spending my money on? I have nearly £300 and still don't know what I am supposed to be waiting for....

They forgot to tell us which sockets each of these would use.
The upgrade path is what is stopping a lot of people.

I am considering a Amd 64 3200/Shuttle Nforce 3 combo. The combination is really something else. However, can't get the Shuttle here in N though.

I am looking at the 3200+ and something else too. Any idea on the cheapest place to buy the A64 3200+? Cheapest I can find is Komplett and compared to US prices we really are being shafted in a big way.

Also wondering about the best motherboard available, and best motherboard in the price/performance bracket too.
