what do you do with wasted CDRs?

I had a couple wastes the other day because Nero was closing halfway through. so I oxed one of dem fellas out of boredom. I had another, so I asked a DC++ chat room what they thought I should do with it. they told me to put it in the microwave for 3 seconds (yes I know it's not good for the microwave, but look at how damn cool it looks :beer: ). any other good things that wasted CDRs can be used for, besides coasters, that one's obvious.

btw, it's really hard to take pictures of CDs I found out.

Drill holes in them and tie them to a wooden X using fishing line and make wind-light-refractors.

I use them as paint mixing palets. The hole makes it real easy to hold, kind-of like an old-style kidney palet, except I can just throw it away when I'm done, instead of having to scrape it clean. It's interesting that you asked this now, cause I just finished my latest painting about two minutes ago.

I discovered last night actutally (well after I found a metal bar in a case) that they break very nicely when you throw them up and give them a good whack. The first victim was my everquest cd.

i take them with me when i go to the shooting range. instant pulverization comes from a 12 gauge shotgun, and little bits of foil flying in the wind.

its also what happens to the old/nonworking hard drives, cd-roms, etc.

I glue 2 of them backside to backside and use them as actual coasters... LOL
