So there we were, all sitting in the basement of our apartment when mmonnin finally snapped and took out his anger on a seemingly defenseless computer. In the midst of the carnage we heard a scream as the computer, then cornered, began to fight back. By the time we got to the scene the deed was already done. This is what we found:

The Computer:

The Victim (aka: mmonnin;):

Even though it was pretty nasty we laughed our asses off :D.

A few other beating pictures:

Jeepers - looks like you'll be typing with one hand for a while.

All those ISA slots down the drain...

...and I've got cards for 'em, too...

Got a ISA vid card or ISA nic? That motherboard was bad actually.

Bah I went to work today at fed ex (the reason why my hands are all dirty) and I dont even feel anything at all anymore. And I dont type much with my thumb...just the space really I guess.

It could have been a "Bible Music" server that kicked the bucket (any other ways it would incite that much anger????)

If you take it out on helpless cases then it doesnt come out anywhere else.;) Its just fun to destroy old POS.

Oddly enough, you're not going to hear that comment from anyone who studies folding enough to care whether or not the PC was folding... just about anything with an ISA slot wouldn't be able to make the WU deadlines...

My first impulse was to ask if it still worked (before it was pulverized), and if so, why not Fold with it. Then I saw all those ISA slots. IMHO any board with more than one ISA slot is likely to be too old to support a CPU worth a hoot folding.

 :fold: :fold: :fold:

Don't worry I salvaged most of the working parts before he began beating on it. It was only a 133 mhz processor with 48 MB of RAM so I doubt it could do much folding.

I hope you feel better macho man, beating up a helpless case like that, hehe

I do clutch,;)

My P3 that I am on right now has an ISA slot in it. Its only 840mhz tho.

It was given to me and I wasnt even sure it worked. I dont think it did. Crazy enough was that Windows 95 was on that hard drive and Norge attached it to another socket 7 motherboard and it BOOTED. Shows how ghetto 95 is.

I didnt even bother trying to get folding on it is because its not really worth the 10 points a week for the extra money it costs me AND the rest of my roommates since there are 4 of us. Thats why I dont have my P2 333mhz system running there. Maybe I will take that one back home and let it run here since mom and dad pay that bill.

I think somebody has been watching a little too much Office Space.

So there is no point folding on a 900MHz Slot-A Athlon?

Could have made a good Router/Firewall/FileServer/WebServer box...

We have a router which takes less electrcity. And the rest of the parts might be used for a ventrilio(sp) box.

Office space is a great movie.

enverex - sure a 900 Ath will fold fine, just slow.
I have a 900 P3 folding, it gets 2 wus/wk

Great case slaying job. My only problem is that I am running machines in worse cases than the one that you destroyed
