This is by far the most annoying popup, because I can't stop it. I am using the integrated popup blocker with myie2, but it isn't enough.

Is there a popup blocker that will stop this annoyance?

Out of 214 blocked popups from www.ultimatecarpage.com this is the only one that consistently gets through

Hey Mancabus, You can try this one. It's free and It configurable. And works with IE and a bunch of other proggys. Hope it helps. I know those popups are d*mn annoying!
here's the link http://www.sureshotsoftware.com/stopthepoplite/ .

You could also modify the host file. I think you just add the address of the ad it will block it. You can view the file and pretty much figure it out.

One reason I like mozilla > IE variants, you can stop popups all together in the options. Also, the developer tool bar plugin is sweet. You can enable / disable certain parts of code, isolate things, outline frames/tables etc etc etc ... idk if IE has something similar to this.

it doesn't.

Panicware has the best pop-up blocker around. I've not seen one pop-up since I installed it.

www.panicware.com

and they have a free version. It's shareware, but the onlything that's disabled is the ability to turn off the splash screen.

Firebird is a great freeware popup blocker :D

Oops my link was wrong, but it isn't just that particular website. I think I know how to find the address of the popup to add to MYIE's blacklist.

I may try firebird and/or panicware though and see.

Thanks.

Another vote for Firebird, but beware of the "can't write after minimising" bug that sometimes appears.

Sometimes with firebird, some files will link to the browser as ascii or whatever instead of linking to download. *shrug*

Thats because they aren't recognised MIME types, so you actually have to tell it you want to download them.
