On the way to order a Thermalright ALX-800 (which apparently beats out the SLK-800 and at $25 cdn its a steal) I noticed these processors in stock. Googling resulted in a bunch of non-enlightening articles (probably because I can't read em). Anyone know what these are and if they're any good? If I don't hear that they suck I'm going to order one and see what happens as $60cdn ($43 US) is nothin. Besides I need to get some more dedicated folding power to hold off Mancubus :D.

BTW I found them at www.vibecomputers.com.

It's a week 38 proc so I think you stand a fair chance of it being unlocked and also L2 cache moddable. You just might luck out and have a super performing chip for cheap. :)

I just got a 1.8 duron with ECS motherboard. Its the new smaller core. Runs at 1.8 really not like saying its a 1800+ or something and it runs at 133fsb also? I had never seen a duron that ran at a fsb of 133? I paid 49 bucks for the combo and its been amazing. Good god what you can get for 50 bucks these days.

Yeah i gotta get on that combo action at Fry's is it? I've seen some of those deals and damn :P. Apparently there's a new Fry's in Seattle which is within driving range for me. Road trip for reading break. Of course I'll be officially visiting my friend at UofW not buying computer parts.
