I was wondering if there is a way to add a SPELL CHECKER ICON in windows XP home in the INTERNET EXPLORER TOOLBAR, I do have word installed and running IE 6.0, Thank you for your help.

That's easy, you can add an Icon that looks like whatever you want. Are you actually trying to build a spell chequer function into your browser?

That'll get you the button, but that's a little advanced... Those are instructions for software developers.

Here's the thing:

Microsoft has a really nice spell chequer, but they never thought to give it the ability to work in web fields. personally, I just type anything long into Word, and cut-paste it into the web field when I'm done. Ta-Da.

The only other way to do this is to download a third party aplication that either mods a spell chequer into IE, or ties in your existing one. Windows does not make such a program, to my knowledge. If they did it would come with windows.

These programs are out there (like IESpell, found at iespell.com) but I don't know how reliable or spyware free these proggies might be...

Anyone else know more about them?
