Microsoft has been reported to be reversing its plans, that it will not make any changes to its Windows operating system or Internet Explorer Web browser in response to a verdict that said some components of those programs infringe on another company's technology.
The world's largest software maker said that "requests made by partners and customers" prompted it to cancel making changes that would make it difficult for its programs to run mini-applications over the Web.
