I'm still curious if the surrounding buildings are fully stable or not. I am sure they have been checked, but the shockwave the towers made each alone was harsh.

I've heard at least one of them (maybe that blackish gray monolith towards the bottom of the pic) will need to be disassembled, not imploded, by taken apart piece by piece. It's going to be expensive. The whole thing has been expensive, and so god damned useless. All those lives, wasted, in the name of religion. Sickening.

Don't blame religion! I am sick of that, I am religous and have absolutly no intent on doing anything like that! Blame the self rightious sob who has thousands of idiots following him thinking it is divine right.

The entire instance was done in the name of religion, stop shunting blame.

On 9-11 I called one of my muslim friends. Mainly to make sure he was OK, and to tell him it might be a good idea to keep a low profile for a while. We had been business partners for a while (he had a friend who repaired printers and would throw PC jobs our way all the time) and I knew that he, though deeply religious, wasn't one of the scum who did this.

When I mentioned that this was going to severely damage Islam's reputation (in the US, at least) the first thing he said was "This is not about religion, it's politics".

I personally feel that the people who did this are merely using religion to whip up the ignorant masses. History is full of examples of this.

I wouldn't want to be blamed for criminal behavior done in the name of Christianity, and I don't blame Islam for being hijacked by evil people, either.
