I am about to take in about $50,000 in student loans, grants, and other loans to goto a College that will have me for 40 hours a week and give me an Associates in Applied Sciences for a Digital Media degree within 13 months.

I need someone to tell me that the guys who work with Digital Media get paid alot

I'm sure that if you are good and get on with a company with a good name, then you should be able to make a pretty good paycheck. So how much of that 50k you wan't to loan me :)

Actually, I dunno how much of that I'll actually get :( But if at all possible I'm gonna 'need' to build myself a new system :P I have no idea how the money thing works.

Guys in Digital Media make okay money. Expect a starting salary of $25-$30K in your first job. I'm not gonna blue-sky you, I come from this background. Your best bet will be to get some actual experience while you are going to school - you need to either do freelance work or find an internship. Is your digital media focus in graphic design? Video? Broadcast?

$50K?

Unless you've moved recently and no longer live in Houston, I would recommend you check out NHMCCD.

I'm sure if you truly applied yourself you could walk away w/ an AAS in a year or a year + 1 semester and it will almost assuredly be much less than $50K.

Well I wish you the best of luck with school and getting a good paying job afterwards. I got a grant from my local community college to pay for my tuition and books for my first 2 years. So hopefully I will be walking out with an ass. in arts degree then transferring to a university about 40 min up the road for my computer science degree.

Yeah depending on the way things go, I also want to get a masters in Computer Science, Networking, Administration and stuff too.

I want to be an Uber 1337 Computer Junkie! It has been my goal to know everything computer related.
