Looking for a program to "fix" my clock

My laptop's clock is constantly off- every time I shut it down, it resets to 12:00AM January 1, 1988. I know this is due to a dying CMOS battery already (I'm not that much of a n00b ;)) but I can't fix it because it's not a socketed battery (I know from having taken the laptop apart before) and I can't afford the downtime that comes from RMAing it right now.

So, I need a utility that'll update my time/date settings on every boot. Got any suggestions?

Do you have internet connection at boot? If so, this program, called "atomic clock sync" Synchronizes your PC to a server running a feed off an atomic clock.

Yes, I do have an internet connection at (or shortly thereafter) boot, assuming my dlink usb 802.11 card cooperates. I just downloaded that program, and it worked, so we'll see how it goes. Thanks.

Tnx. I just need a new laptop. I have thoroughly broken mine. I wouldn't have any problems with it if I'd just leave it alone...

But no, so far, I've killed:
The PCMCIA slot (who knew that thing needed to be screwed down?)
The LAN port (hint: don't get up to walk away from a desk when you have a real short LAN cable plugged into the computer)

And now the CMOS battery is dying, and even a USB NIC doesn't get along with it all the time. Someone figure THAT one out. :rolleyes:

Just 6 more months... I just have to hold out for 6 more months... :werr:
