Socket 754 mobo?

Which is the best mobo fora socket 754 Athlon 64? I am going to be ordering one soon gotta find out!

Excuse me but don't you mean 1st gen Socket 939. The can't relise a second gen at the same time as the first gen. Or did you mean 1st gen 939 and second gen 754? :confused:

Yea that i can agree on but i haven't found any sorces in this forum saying that second gen 754 is comming out in mars/april. The only thing i've heard is about socket 939 comming out then. Correct me if i'm wrong but socket 939 isn't second gen 754, it's first gen 939. Wouldn't second gen 754 be called 754? :confused2:

No, second gen 754 boards will still be 754 boards, otherwise they wouldn't be second gen 754 would they, they would be 939. Get it? Google is a good place to look, i.e. outside the forum.

There will be more boards, there always are.

No i still don't get it. It's been stated that 1st gen socket 939 comes out mars/april.ok fine. But how can 2nd gen cards come at the same time as 1st gen if now the 2nd gen 939 is comming out in mars/april which seems to be the case.

And when is 2nd gen 754 comming out. If it has been published it would surely be added to the news of this site and i would have read about them. So i don't think that 2nd gen 754 is comming out in mars unless someone can point me to an article saying that. Omega might have made a typo. Typed 2nd gen when he ment 1st gen.

2nd Generation Chipsets are Due out in Mar/April

Nforce3 250 (Pro and Non Pro) and Via K8T800 Pro (HyperTtransport 1000 among other improvements) are sampling now!

2nd generation means the Chipsets (and mobo making experience)! Socket 754,939, & 940 all use the same chipsets and CPU/Mem basic interface.

KT133 -> KT133A
KT266 -> KT266A/KT333
KT400 - KT600
NForce1 -> NForce2

Well that is a typo since it's supposed to be 939. Ok i'll drop this for now. No point in arguing since the mistake seems to be on my side. I was just wondering that's all.

Well since i have a socket 754 chip I had to get a board! the Asus is crap and will be sent back as soon as my MSI board arrives mon or tuesday
