Sure I get it every little new toy costs money. Which is why I don't have sat radio in my car. I can't justify the $15 for the amount of driving I do. Plus I have an mp3 player in my car so I hand pick my music already. But in a hypothetical situation if I was looking at a new car that didn't have an mp3 deck I would consider going sat instead of mp3 in the future. Realistically though most newer cards come with sat or mp3 or both in anything but the most basic of models.
I admit satellite radio on it's own is a hard sell in most cases. But dollars wise compared to most other pay per month services sat radio isn't a huge screw job on the pricing point. It's just not a service most people need or would benefit from overall.
