memtest.

With the recent memory errors with HL2 some people have been running into, most of the time it's the memory at fault but people don't know how to run memtest to check their memory.

Maybe some kind of guide?

Make sure to indicate that there is a CDROM ISO download as well, I find that much easier to deal with than a floppy for boot-up.

Good idea, Dexter, especially since folks who play HL2 play it from a DVD or CD, right??? And the simpler to use memtest is from the self-booting-and-launching CD iso. The only things I can think of against this, is that some gamers might be on AOL or dialup for internet, or not know how to burn an ISO 9960 type CD as versus a data CD of the ISO file. So, a howto about how to use Nero 6.0 to burn a bootable CD from an ISO file might also be useful.

thats not entirely correct, a lot of people preloaded it on steam, which means that it was downloaded. although at this point i think most people have cd burners

I'ts actually pretty easy to implement memtest in the bios as long as you have a fairly new mainboard with a 4mb bios chip. No cd or floppy is needed that way.
