My desk. That's my PIII dually webserver to the left and SM4 to the right.



My parts shelf. Yes, that's a Sun Ultra 5 up there. Yes, that's a bottle of Macallan all the way to the left.



I'm not much for clean wiring.



This is the crap you have to deal with in a 60 year old building. I asked my landlord about changing the outlets to 3-prongs, and he said it's not worth it because as soon as you take off the plate and pull out the outlet, the insulation will crack and fall right off the wires. This was one of the few outlets that wasn't covered over with 40 layers of paint.

Right now I'm waiting on parts, need more video cards. I still have a bunch more monitors and I'm half tempted to stack another row on top but I don't know how usable that will be.

They are like one big desktop. Also, don't forget johnny 5 in the back there. I am putting one monitor on the other side in with the desktop for document reference. Then number 6 has a KVM hooked up to it for bench work. For instance when installing Gentoo I can have the docs up on the screen and have the machine right next to it that I'm working on. I guess I'm sick of printing the guide and I never remember the darn thing cause I don't use it myself anymore.

They are going to be powered by Radeon 7000's, and I will probably do a management node just for the display. I am not sure if I am going to keep the rest of the cluster here or in the datacenter. 100M uplink would be nice, but having it download locally makes burning CD ISO's nice too.....

Yeah I got the panel from play-asia.com, and I couldn't afford to build my own PC at the time (atlough I really wanted to) so just went for that. Works fine though :P
