xp service pack 3

hello great site i think,been on one of thease things befor got baned they thought they were god or somthing this seems nice though
any way to problem xp service pack 3 usb problem my usb sockets wont take much amps befor they say they do not want to work power suge of somthin similar any way i need drivers for card reader usb hub at the moment because this tiny tower wont regonise any thing it dose in devisce maneger but not in my computer and i cant install my lexmark printer either i herd there is a problem with upgrading xp service pack 2 and 3 and windows has even done a usb fix for one but not the outhers tyed downloding and adding it to 3 but of course you cant i might go back to one by uninstalling if poss i have been all over the web serching for drivers but no good unless you want pay some money

There should no longer be any problems if you upgrade from SP2 to 3. However if you are getting message popping up saying something along the lines of "This device requires USB 2 ports to function correctly". That has nothing to do with the SP version of windows. That's a physical limitation of the USB port you are trying to use. Many external flash drives and printers either require or nag you to run on USB2 ports. If you have multiple sets of USB ports on your computer it's not uncommon, on older machines, to have a mix of USB 1.1 and USB 2 ports. So try a different set of ports if you have them available.

chears for replying ryder it a tiny tower with a genuis keybord i just looked at the back and model numbers blanck tippical um spoke to western megatronics about drivers but they seid they have lost there rights to the bios on my computer we have 450mhz 256mb of ram by the by dose anyone know how to get intouch with robert hallock i would realy like to speak to that tall man more info just had a thought disk drives wdc100aa disk drives quantum fierball ct10 10 floppy 40xcd rom atapi dvd rom 16xm ax and the monitor was manafactured in 1998 no 518xn

i think i will change subject i have written this befor and i aint going to do it anymore so will be as short
eight steps to recovering windows ,triyed it smelt success but failed at bootcfg
middle name determination tryed again only got as far as attrib before failed to fin flles
since attemps f8 os changed from windows proffess to defult
no dout robert hallock could shed some light but i should imagine hes buisse i would dearly like to talk to that very tall man no dout he could just click his fingers and me lappee would be fixed
not keen on tiny than felix eh!

hi all in answer not very happy langurage i am teribal speller but i have a lot on me a plate i thought as long as it was understandble odvisley not
to make things clear i have lap top its ill i triyed to fix it with robert hallocks method got so far with it fist time did not get so far with it second time i would like to speak to robert as i know he could offer some good advise on this problm
i know i can bring me lap top back from the dead as i nearly did but i have no proper os disk so when it came to eual > faild again
in answer to first problem have perched lctp lead from ebay hope it works do not know the difference between parallel ...and serial however it spelt

I could say your computer is too old for Windows XP SP3 since the monitor was built 3 years before XP came out (so I assume the computer is also that old), but I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to say.

hi danball i supose i should have started another debate but after relplying to kykst and having it wiped twice and then having trouble with password keeps deisapering when i signe in ,still dose i got angry and my spelling became worse than usual
i have actully two computer problems
one is no drive for usb computer wont regonise anything usb has even told me i need a high speed host controller
i have checked it out on the root hub and i got 500 amps to share between the tow ports and computer keeps saying i am overloading it but i tick a box and the buble whent away dose not seem to de doing any damage fingers crossed
i am on windows service pack 3 i wish i wernt
tryed to add service pack one fix for usb to 3 but of course you cant i could get an update from windows only not sure about the os on it so would rather leave them out of it i think my problem is drivers or should i say the lack of them
second problem dead laptop read robert hollock post on this site well impressive eight steps well i failed around bfg scan first time and could get no futher the second time only faild at the begining atrib
again no proper os but i nearly got the laptop up and going with windows 2000 pro but failed as no end user agreement
i have two hard drives one should have xp pro on it press r to fix when i tryed robert hollocks method somthing did change my xp pro os became defult os on screen f8
hope thats a little clearer

Trying to add a fix for SP1 is irrelevant since service packs are cumulative. The fix that you're trying is already incorporated into SP3. Chances are if your PC was manufactured in 1998 it doesn't have USB 2.0 ports. If you're using an external hub, does it come with an external power source? That could be the cause of the power sag.

Also, every modern browser has a spell check built in. I suggest you use it. We're trying to help you but your posts are very difficult to follow.

I think using full stops and having two threads for two problems would make it easier to understand.
