Adobe Media Encoder on Windows 7

Hello everyone. I've tried converting an MPEG2 file to flash video using Media Encoder CS4 on Windows 7 x64. The video converts fine but there's no sound. The original file is MPEG2 video and MPEG1 layer III audio.

I imagine this is due to Windows 7 compatibility issues. I've been converting them in XP for now but was wondering if anyone knows of a workaround/fix?

Also, I've been recording other videos in the same format but 2 files are now corrupt when the computer shut off due to power failure. I've tried a couple players like VLC but it only plays a quarter of the whole video. Anyone know of a good program that'll fix corrupt MPEG2 files?

I like to use WinFF. It uses ffmpeg to re-encode video files. It works with audio files too.
