Talking LOTR: Return of the King Review (Non-Spoiler)

So I was sitting at home last night, wife at work till noon next day (Trauma Nurse @ local Hospital).

TV is all reruns, so I text-message a buddy " Go see LOTR Return he King at 12:10am?" he says "Hell yeah"

So after 5 minutes of fandangoing, we have tickets to the last of 4 sold out shows!!!

Movie: Phenominal, it is the culmination of everything we saw in the 1st two movies. Visually, it is the best movie I have ever seen.
Emotionally, I am going to miss all my middle-earth friends (try to get thru the final 10 minutes with dry eyes! )
Technically, the special effects are even more impressive than the first two movies)

It was absolutely worth the 3 hrs of sleep, and 4 cups of coffee needed to get through my work day.

Plan to see it again this weekend!

If you ever heard the rumour about "The Fatal Flaw" in RoTK... It ain't there.

There is no huge, movie-killing, experience-ruining flaw in the film whatsoever.

The battle scenes are the most epic I have ever seen portrayed on film. I consider myself a Tolkien purist.. I hate deviation from the books, and I've read them so many times I know exactly when it happens.. But no part really offended me.

There were parts in the movie that were BETTER than how I had ever imagined it.

It was a breathtakingly good movie.

Stood in line for half an hour to catch a 12 noon matinee in rain and cold. It was well worth the misery. The battles are absolutely unbelievable and the word EPIC does them no justice.

Anyone who goes won't be disappointed whether a book purist or movie fan.

Other than when one of the legs of Legolas' horse goes through an orc

That movie was absolutely amazing. Samwise has always been my favorite Hobbit, and he certainly comes through as well as he did in the book!

Although, as far as pure ass kicking goes, when Legolas takes on the Oliphaunt, it r0x0rs. I will say no more to avoid spoilers...
