Your book collection?

What books do you have? Read, reading, etc... whatever you wann put down

Right now here is my list.

Read at least once
The BattleTech Universe
The Warrior Trilogy by Michael A. Stackpole
Warrior: En Garde Twice
Warrior: Riposte 1.5 Times
Warrior: Coupé

The Blood of Kerensky Trilogy by Michael A. Stackpole
Lethal Heritage
Blood Legacy
Lost Destiny

Currently Reading/Unfinished
Wolves on the Border by Robert N. Charrette
The Universe in a Nutshell by Stephen Hawking
Normandy 1944 by Stephen Badsey

Current Main Book of study
The Prince by Niccolo Machiavelli

Next Main Book
Sun Tzu: The Art of War

Unread Books
MechWarrior Dark Age
Ghost War by Michael A. Stackpole
A Call to Arms by Loren L. Coleman

Other:
Art of War An actual ART book of War
Skywatching Astronomy stuff I enjoy
A+ Certification 3rd Ed. Microsoft book for my A+ of course, and always a little handy
Network+ Certification Bible Where would I be without networks? Never read this book, bought just before I got fired.
Windows 2000 Server for Dummies Read Above forementioned *ugly grin* except I had the chance to read it partially

And of course where would I be without my real Bible... which has never been read fully. I will work on that mainly after I finish the Sun Tzu Art of War book. Theology is the key to winning any War.

But all in all I am very unorganized in my reading, I generally have to read a book twice before it dawns on me. But meanwhile I read another book at the same time. I usually only read when I have free time of boredom.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson (awesome book, awesome movie)
1984 by George Orwell (don't laugh, its good)

those are my most recent reads... the whole list would be huge

I have over 400 books on my amazon wish list, and at least that many on the shelves of my house. When you ask me about books, it really has to be in the context of something.

That said, I'm currently enjoying the Philip Pullman "His Dark Materials" trilogy as a book on tape when I go bicycling. I'm amazed how subversive this series of childrens books is.

I'm also in the middle of writing my own book... which will also be very subversive. =b I expect to release it serially starting about a year from now. A title hasn't suggested itself to me yet, but you'll know when it hits.

too many to list all but right here at hand I have the "the nag hammadi library in english", "the dead sea scrolls (a new translation)", and "gnosis (the mysteries and christianity)".
I also have a list of architecture titles here but my favorites are "the five orders of architecture" by vignola and "the ten books on architecture" by vitruvius.

I was gonna post my "book" collection, but I guess girlie magazines don't qualify.

When things settle down a bit for me, I may have to start reading real books. I haven't read a book for the fun of it in YEARS!

i just finished The Darwin Awards II: Unnatural Selection. Really quick read, but some great stories are in there. The author also makes some interesting points regarding various aspects of evolution.

Gates of Fire - Top 10 books of All Time
Guns, Germs, and Steel - Amazing as well
Rise and Fall of the Third Reich
Angela's Ashes and Tis
Why the Allies Won
What's So Great About America?
The Virtue of Prosperity
Lord of the Rings - again
War of the Rats
A Brief History of Time - again and it still astounds me
Anything and Everything by John Keegan

As for my entire collection, that's WAY too big to type in. I could live without TV easily, but don't touch my books, my music, and my computer!

For those that love to read, Ebay has books so cheap its scary.

Last time I counted was about 10 years ago - over 2,200 books. I got rid of about 500. Since then I've probably added about 500 more. Thanks go to Wonder Book. Moving is a large amount of fun.

This does not count Comic Books, which I foolishly sold right before they got to be worth big $$$.

Currently re-reading "Brave Men" by Ernie Pyle.

My collection is heavy on the SF and history, with a little of everything else, too. I have every Heinlein (including a limited, numbered, and signed first edition of "Job").
