Well the driver package which was available at the time, at least the one I got my hands on, did only support the FX line of cards (as far as I could possibly tell). Perhaps the version you've got is a later or different revision of the 41.71's to the ones which were originally made available.
Yeah, I looked at the modes.txt in the one I have, and you are right. Its the same one I downloaded
The only problem I see with the ones from Guru3D is that they either change your homepage to Guru3D or put a link in your favorites.
