Yeah spinner, I'd say that the following might apply to you:

Light is on but nobody is home.
Few sandwiches short of a picnic
Elevator doesn't go to the top floor
Brain-bone not connected to any other bone
In need of a low-level format
The engine runs but the transmission is stuck in neutral

etc.

Hope that helps

In all seriousness guys, I know I'm messing around, but I am completely out of my mind at the moment. I'm so on edge...

I'm literally sweating from anxiety. It's 05:41 in the morning here in the UK, my girlfriends fast asleep a few feet behind me, but even with that, I know if I get into bed, I won't sleep, even though I'm exhausted.

I really hate being alive right now. Truefully I do.

What's giving you anxiety? Some times I think we can create problems for our selves, Like insomnia, People can get insomnia by worrying if they're going to get insomnia. Try to realise that there's food in the fridge, a roof over your head and you have a partner, everything else is eye candy. Make time for your self and relax. It WILL pass, it'll be ok.
Sorry about the above post, I didn't read more than the top one before I posted that but in essence it's true anyway.
Take care.

I had a bout of the "too much to do, not enough time to do it" syndrome... I also had the "Eyes are close but brain still working..." syndrome too. That actually was unnerving because able to solve complex C++ programming problems... Yep, you wake up and the program is solved. Feel like crap though brain is dead and the body says that it's rested... That was like 4 yrs ago and I'm still alive. Relax and listen to some nice calm music and take a Tylenol PM. A few good nights and the same problems will seem easier to deal with...

I know the feeling well! Try taking them when you are already on muscle relaxers and pain meds. Then when you can't hold off on getting up any more because ya gotta pi$$ soo bad your seeing yellow and when you get up it feels like you are on a small boat in 20 foot seas blindfolded with no idea what your doing other than gotta get to the can.

Okay, had a real rough night last night. I suffer from really bad depression, and sometimes it just knocks me for six. I'm better today though, back to work. Hi ho. I've set aside some time to catch a flik later and relax, hopefully that will help chill me out.

Thanks for the posts people. Sorry for last nights drama, just a moment of severe distress.

Cheers

We're here for ya. All you need to do is call.

Actually I can sympatize real well. I haven't been able to get a job yet since loosing my daughter and now (don't want to go back to the old one). I have been sitting home alot and all the things from the past have been sitting on my shoulder for quite some time now. But so far I have been managing. Spinner, if ya need to bounce off someone I bet we could have a ball. hehe

No doubt my friend, no doubt.

You're right though, motivation is the hardest thing to keep hold of sometimes. But that's is the key, find something you love doing, then run after it. The problem is finding something you really enjoy doing. Because you don't get payed for chasing after beautifull women, and there aren't many jobs going on a nice sunny beach.

Real life is a right challenge sometimes.

Spinner, why not write a song about it? Put some of your feelings down on paper and let it out through singing.

You have a great voice & a flair for song writing/singing (the S-M theme is proof of that), and some of the best songs I know were written when the songwriter was depressed/upset.

Just a suggestion mate,

//edit - Appreciate your girlfriend mate. Having a girlfriend is like air - you don't miss it unless it's not there!!

That I do know!! I really fancy a girl and last night I got really drunk and texted her something I can't even remember now, and I don't think she liked it, and I deleted all the messages in my phone. Suffice to say it's not going to be pretty when I see her at work later tonight...

Good advice mate, but my head just isn't in muscian mode at the moment, I'm trying to take a break from it after just finishing my degree. But I completely agree with what you're saying, songwriters are usually at their best when their not, if you know what I mean.

As for girls, well, I still don't know what to think about them, I love the female of the species dearly, but sometimes they seem more trouble than they are worth. Just think of all the wasted amount of time us guys have used up, whining over or thinking about women. Personally, it's starting to get on my nerves.

Still...

As for your specific encounter, I suggest you play it cool, you never no, you might have said something she liked. Girls are funny like that, you think you do something nice, they actually hate it, you think you do something bad, they actually love it.

Women... you can't live with 'em, yet... they're everywhere.

These are the times we have lived or will live through. I myself have run up hard against a few walls where everything bothers me and nothing bothers me more. There were times I had to move so fast to keep up but got nowhere at all.

And there were times I wish it would all stop.

But stop it never did no matter how hard I wanted it to.

There will be a time where you will look back at this moment....yes....look back. The important part is what you do now at this moment and only you can make the first move. Do not change the world. Do not change your world. Just change this moment ever so slightly and then move onto the next moment.

832,654,865 moments later....you'll be looking back and nearly a million moments later....maybe this moment won't seem as tough anymore.

Just like the last 16 moments that passed while you read this thread. A step at a time is all you can ask yourself to do...take a step at a time instead of trying to leap to the moon.
