Japan Sees Broadband Users Tripling by 2007

A government report in Japan last Friday predicted that the once internet deficient country will, by 2007, be the world's most online nation. They come to this conclusion because of the recent low cost fees associated with high speed internet services, which as a result has sparked massive demand from the population.

The Telecommunications Ministry said in an annual white paper that 60 million Japanese -- nearly half the population -- will be surfing the Net on high-speed broadband networks by 2007.

Gee whiz. Maybe the United States will learn that lower prices would mean that THE DEMAND FOR BROADBAND STOPS LEVELLING OFF.

Seriously, at $40-$60 a month they are seriously limiting their audience. What a crock. SOME executive is being toted around in a corporate jet, you can be sure of that....... But the masses do not have broadband, as usual the perks of society are reserved for the upper classes.
