Exclamation !! And Another New Baby !!

Myself, my wife, big brother Colin (12) and big sister Olivia (13 months) are pleased to announce the birth of our daughter / sister:

Kimberly Charlise Deck

born April 22nd, 2004 at 8:23 am
weighing 6 pounds, 15 ounces
and measuring 20 inches.

Mother and daughter are doing fine!

Thank you all She is beautiful, and Daddy has not gotten to spend much time with her, as I have had to look after the needs of our 13 month old Olivia, who is a very busy and precocious child in her own right! But that gives Mommy some close bonding time with new little Kimberly, which is very important right now, as Olivia has been the center of her mother's world for the last year or so.

QParadox - Yes, you guessed correctly, Royal Columbian it is Not the most attractive of hospitals, is it But that is where our OB has privileges, so that is where we had to go. The quality of care is excellent, but the interior decorating leaves a lot to be desired Congrats on your sister's baby - is that the first niece or nephew for you?

QCH - thanks And many best wishes again to you! Our babies are so close together, maybe they can be e-mail buddies some day!

Mine are 14 months apart and I can tell you that taking care of two little infants is a lot of work. It feels like more than double the effort for taking care of the two at such a young age. They are already getting closely bonded with my little one being 6 months and the "elder" approaching 2 years old in july. It'll warm your heart when you see them two interacting and playing together. Congrats again on your newborn and I wish the best of health for all.

I agree with you on RCH Dexter, its butt ugly but the people are generally nice. My first niece was born on March 17 in RCH, but it was my sister's second child as she already had a 3 year old boy. I love both of them although my nephew is at a lot more fun stage for an uncle right now .

I haven't been around much as we bought a house for my sister and her family. Its a post grow-op total 1920's era fixer-upper. The house was "free" based on the land assement and what we paid but the grow-op was well enough installed that there's no mildew or condensation at all (they vented it directly through the chimney using a big a$$ fan, definitely pros and they only abused the basement). We've got another couple months at least before its habitable again, but her family will finally have a home after hopping from one rented place to another.
