I just got stung in the @$$

I was sitting here looking through the forums when i felt something poke me. I looked down and didn't see anything and i forgot about it. About 5 minutes later i felt sumthing crawling down my leg. I looked down and there was a baby waspon the floor. I squished the little bastard and flushed him down the toilet.

I thought you only had allergic reactions to poison ivy on the parts of your body that the oil from the plant actually touched. That is, I didn't think you could get poison ivy on your leg from having it touch say, your arm. Of course, AFAIK, CA doesn't have poison ivy (just poison oak) so...

Yes, it spread without you really thinking about it. So when you have poison ivey it is good to not ummm...do certain things to certain parts...you know what I mean.

Man, I wish I had taken pictures of my hands and ankles when I got my chemical-induced contact dermititis. Man....... That sucked so bad. It really makes you appreciate the time when you are not all broken out and rashy.

About the ivy, I got it @ work doing some surveying work on a thursday. Went camping on a friday....we got kicked out of canada and decided to finish camping in my buddies apartment in AA. Well....at that point....my arm(the main centralized part of the poison ivy) had begun 'weeping'. It was weeping at a rate of 1-2 oz. per hour. I had puss literally dripping from my arm. So I wrapped it in toilet paper and tape. I had like puss-packets on my arm....possibly the most disgusting thing ever. Sh!t...I think it was shwaip that had those on his body from a sunburn and he showed a picture....I had one that was like 4" x 4" on my arm. I had to get a steroid shot directly IN the rash on my arm because the doc said it was the worst case he's ever seen. Needless to say....I had it EVERYWHERE....but as a plus, I can now pee
unidirectionally with no hands(read: no spray) and very well with my left hand

I have had much experience with poison ivy, oak, sumac ...and anything else that makes you all rahsy and itchy. For the ivys, oaks and sumacs, try rubbing the rhine of a watermelon (the greenish-white part that usually gets thrown away) on the rash. Not kidding at all, it works. Dries it out and reduces the itch.

Ever been stung as a young kid by a hornet?? Ears swell something fierce when one stings you on an earlobe.... Dad used small amounts of Ammonia to decrease the pain, ear was swollen for about 2 days.

See I was on this swing out back (In Falls Church, VA.) when about 4.5 years of age, funny thing about hornets and wasps (AND, AFAIK, bees) is they are attracted to movement-- notice movement faster than anything.... (And can taste or scent with tongue salty things, like sweat.... They need salts in blood also....) I made the mistake of swatting at hornet. When I was stung, I fell off the swing.

At least it was only a wasp.

I guarantee you that there are 2 things you don't want to experience :

1: Sitting on a scorpion who is hiding under the toilet seat.

2: Peeing on an electric fence that happens to be a weedchopper type and hot.

I am ashamed to say I have experienced both of these events. Both were very memorable and now quite funny. Took me ten years before I could go to the bathroom normally after the fence thing Had to do a lot of talking to a certain body part to convince him there wasn't any fence around.

at summercamp, there was a cabin i was somewhat in charge in. this cabin was far out from the other facilities and more into the woods area. so..... one of the guys went out in the back of the cabin, and took a leak where a spider landed on his pecker........he brushed it off and pissed on it. we called it cockspiders cabin ever since.
