3.6 Cats... no "powered by" version?

Are the newest Catalyst drivers for both Built by and Powered by ATi products? I've heard something along those lines, but it's not confirmed. If so, does it work on the older "Powered By" models, like the 7500 and 9100?

The Cat 3.6's work just fine on my crappy dualhead Radeon VR (7000) on my work rig.

The card is a "powered by" not a "built by". I _believe_ these drivers will work on all Radeon series cards now (except mobile chipsets)

Give it a try but I can't imagine it would be a problem. They also work on my Crucial Radeon 9700pro (Mackanz found me that magnificent bargain back in February!)

Yep, the Catalyst line of drivers work with both ATI Retail and OEM boards that sport any of the "Radeon" line of VPU's.

As Shorty mentioned, the only products that don't work with these drivers and require their own special ones are the Radeon IGP's utilized in notebook systems.

Nice one ATI to start using a true unified driver platform and combined binary
