Recommend me a DVD-Rom drive

I would like some comments regarding the following set of dvd-rom drives.

Feel free to comment anything, looks, noise, box contents, ability to read cd's in less than perfect condition, audio rip speed, and anything else you can think of.

It is quite a lineup, but I would like to cover all my options.

Very good results with multiple units of the Pioneer DVD116 (and the 115 before it)

I've used both the Slot loader and the tray. (never had it happen, but heard the slot can scratch da disks)

I'm extremely happy with my Lite-On. Fast DVD ripping speeds, no muss, no fuss.

I must say that I am very tempted by the LiteOn LTD-1634-01.
It has quite low seek times and 512KB cache.

Furthermore it is cheap.
