Book suggestion

I need a good book for HTML. Definitions and easy to understand and read are things that I am looking for.

Also looking for a good book on web design. Maybe one that convers the various programs that are mostly used in the design and building....

Thanks,

I know you asked for books, and I can be of no help there, but online I have found the w3schools website to be priceless.

It's got everything you need: html, xhtml, css, sql...

Also, it includes realtime online examples for you to try out.

You could always try printing out the pages at school/college/work.

Visual Quickstart (and Quickpro) Guides are available for both HTML and Dreamweaver MX.

This series is generally better for learning than it is for reference, but I wouldn't slam it too hard on the reference either.
