Linux Proxy

I would like to set up a secure linux proxy that will be used by me only. I want to route some packets from this box (Windows XP), through my linux machine (Mandrake 9.1). Both machines have their own IP address. Are there any linux proxy programs I can get, or any software that comes with mandrake 9.1. Any help would be much apreciated .

Squid might be what you're looking for.

I saw that on a google search last night but I didn't download it yet because I have never heard of it and didn't know if it was any good. Do any of you know if its any good?

Squid would probably be what your looking for. Otherwise, create a secure tunnel to the linux machine and make your calls from there.

Depends on what you want it to act like really, and what your main goal is. But I'm betting your looking for squid
