Remember Palominos?
The last big thing for Palominos was the AGOIA stepping. Well, that's what I'm using. Paroxym posted in another thread some pretty impressive gains when he switched from a Kr7A-RAID to an nForce2 board (NF7-s). He got me wondering: how much better of an OC could I get on my chip if I got a better motherboard?
I'm using an Epox 8kha+ (remeber the KT266A chipset? I know, it's SO last year...). My chip is a 1600+, and it'll run stably at 1666 MHz at default voltage, but only about to 1700 Mhz at max voltage.
I'd like to get a T-bred, but if I got a new nForce2 mobo first, do you all think I could expect much better of an OC on my 1600+ AGOIA?
edit: I'll probly get asked this so here are some more details in my setup:
SLK-800 with Tt Smart Fan 2, runs about 46c (folding, full load 24/7)
2nd mobo sensor is at 30c
2x256 MB Mushkin pc2700
