I'm a daddy!

I'm a daddy! On May 31, 2005, at 5:13PM EST, my son Jakob was born. This is the greatest thing that's ever happened to my wife and I. You can't even put into words how awesome this is. Anyhow, here's a few pictures and a link to the Shutterfly page with all 33 pics I took. I'm a crappy photographer so some of them are blurry. Sorry.

The last few days have been a blur. We barely get any sleep because we have to feed him every three hours. Being noob parents, it takes us at least an hour to feed him and change him lol. It's also very weird when people call me Daddy, or call and ask me "How's Jakob doing?" It kind of startles me, it's like what are you talking about? I love this little dude, he's very quiet most of the time, only cries when he's hungry. There's nothing like having a baby, I only regret not having done it sooner. Now we want 5 more

Congratulations to you both.

You are right. It's too hard to describe the feeling of being a new Dad, or Mum for that matter.

Mine are 29 and 27 yrs old, yet i can still remember the feelings from when they were first born.

Congratulations and welcome to a brave and wonderful new world of being a Parent. Nothing is more rewarding, challenging, and meaningful.

Just remember though.....children are like wide receivers in football...with two, you and the wife can play a strong Man-to-Man defense. Once you go above two, you have to play a Zone defense....and there are ALWAYS holes in the zone. Grandparents make great, but potentially slow strong and free safeties.

Now, I gotta go hug my precious ones...
