i kind of agree though, somewhere along the line this country needs to get a handle on its fatass problem. its embarassing. and everytime you try to talk about it, someone pipes up and says how "well im not fat because im a lazy sack o' crap, i have a thyroid problem" or "its not my fault i just eat when im depressed and my life sucks so its justified" etc. etc. etc.

im not heartless and i understand there are some medical cases where its truly out of the person's control. but 99% of it is just that people need to stop eating and start exercising. and the best way to get them to do that is if they learn these kinds of habits while they're young... playing DS at mcdonalds is just the icing i know but every bit counts. i remember when i was a kid (which was not that damn long ago) my mom would tell me to get off the damn nintendo after an hour or two. and go outside or something. i hated her for it then but now i see the wisdom...i played outside a lot as a result and im not a fatass. maybe people need to go back to doing this, instead of giving in to the kids bc they don't feel like listening to whining anymore.
