Ram is running very slow

here is my setup:
CPU Amd 4400 @ 2.4ghz
GPU 7800gt Extreme
2 x WD 250gb sata 2
Asus A8n Premium
2 x OCZ 1gb ram
My ram is clocking very slow and i think its not even in dual channel, how can i fix this?

Fill out the settings you use below. I am pretty sure what's causing the low speed. Have the sticks in the blue slots.

Those settings worked but i thing its still in single channel mode. Ob CPU-Z on the memory menu it says channels #Dual but on the SPD menu only one column on the timings table is filled in, so does this mean its not in dual channel mode?

No, that just means that the SPD (serial presence device) only has settings for one speed whereas some ram has settings for 133, 166 and 200 or 200, 216 and 233 or what have you.

Those settings in the SPD would each generally have different timings and be reflected as such in each row.

As an example, this is my ram:


Notice there are timings for 133, 166 and 200?

Look at the bootscreen when you start the pc..it should say 128 bit memory. That's dual channel

You are running in dual channel, but a lot of apps still say 64 bits. Sisoft sandra says the same thing.

Make the same screenies as you did in the first post and let me see them.

ive overclocked my cpu to 230mhz x11 (amd 4400 x2) but i think the ram is stopping me overclock more, is there anyway i can get my fsb to 250mhz?

230 is actually really good out of that ram. You will probably have to use a divider now to get more speed out of the cpu. 10X260 at DDR333 nets you a higher cpu speed, but ram at around 215 or so. You rather have 100mhz cpu than 10 fsb extra.

Yes, but those generally cost a lot more than your kit did. There is a reason we bin ram to go higher.

So how do i actually change the divider? Im just trying to get the cpu to 245x11 to get around 2.7ghz per core
