Waited weeks for my RMA, and I got a bad dimm! :(
For the past two weeks I've been running my system below on generic 256MB DDR333 RAM while I waited for my OCZ 2x512MB Performance Series kit to go through the RMA process. Needless to say I was relived to find my replacement on my doorstep this morning.
Problem is, one of the DIMMs in the kit is bad! It's always the same address, only one of the two DIMMs, and I've tried it in all 4 slots of my mobo, in both single and dual channel mode, with and without the good stick. Both at stock speed and timings, to as relaxed timings and bus speed as possible. I can't get that error to go away.
It's a shame really, because (outside of that one consistent error) the pair is the fastest RAM I've ever owned (running at 256 MHZ, 2.5 3 3 8).
Could OCZ cross-ship me a new kit, or do they do that?
