It doesn't look very good in that pic , but you get the idea. What you're seeing at the bottom there is the matching 'shadow-band'. (Which she doesn't get for another year or so )

She really likes amethysts, so originally, I was going to have the side diamonds replaced with Amethysts (I was going to move the diamonds into a pair of earrings or perhaps a necklace or something that I could give her later), but when she found out, she told me that she would prefer to keep all the diamonds in the ring. She's very excited to show it off. She had to buy new nail-polish to match the ring.
