Asus a7n8x temps seem a bit off here...

Hiya some of you may rember that I was planning a new system, well here it is and damn does it kick ass! But anyway...

I have an asus a7n8x delux mother board . With a xp3000+ cooled by a Thermaltake SLK-800-U HS with article silver 3.....now the bios hardware monitor has average idle temp at about 49C....yet the Asus windows hardware monitor is telling me its about 41C. Which do I trust? 49 jsut doenst seem right, But I always thought the Bios monitor knew best. Any suggestions?

Have you upgraded to the latest bios version for that board?
I had the same problem with the bios temp and software temp not matching, and the bios upgrade fixed the problem.

It's the Asus Probe that is telling the truth, I had the same problem...

The bios temp on the A7N8X boards is reading the temp diode on the cpu and Asus probe reads the in-socket thermistor on the board, so it will show a lower reading than bios. MBM can be configured to show both temps; that's how I have mine set up and I don't even use Asus probe.
