Router Probs

Ok...i got back from a trip and my pc wouldnt connect to the internet.

After walking thru some stuff w/ my ISP Tech, we rest the router. (Pulled the power) Well that fixed it, but i keep having the prob now every once in a while.

Any thoughts?

I'm only a linux moderator, but this seems to be a networking issue

As for your problem, I would probably look for a firmware update. Its possible this is a common problem or the result of a recent worm exploiting a newly discovered flaw.

On most routers, you can update the firmware through the manuf. website. Have you tried to reset the router back to default settings?

What brand router???, I had problems with a Netgear FR314 that did similar, only when connected to my RR cable. Worked fine on DSL.
Co. even sent replacement, as the firmware "unflashed" at times. I had to reflash and it worked fine for awhile, even the replacement did same. On DSL it worked fine...something to do with cable.
More info would be great. And yes this is a networking problem.
