Dump AOL...
...unless you like them. Your Internet access is taken care of through Cablevision. AOL Broadband is merely a
content service - it gives you the AOL homepage as your starting point.
Next time you go to connect to AOL and they are down, just type in another www address (like
www.icrontic.com) and press "Go" (or hit "enter").
When my dad was new to computers he used AOL. It basically gave him a built-in set of shortcuts to interesting
content. If you want ball scores, just go to
www.espn.com, or whatever else you find that you like. Your $4.95 a month just pays for the AOL unique content - they give you a home page with links to news, sports, whatever. That's all it is.
