I must confess that our priorities are a bit different which isn't at all to say that one is to be universally preferred over the other. I applaude your attention to detail, outstanding planning and patience not to mention your excellent choice of parts in my view. Having said that the Frankenbox (click the link) is ugly, but as you can see if you look close is idling @ 21c and peaks under load @ 27-29c depending on what she's doing (2400+@ 13.5x180/2.1v). Yours would sell better than mine and probably should. I am in every area of life a function over beauty guy. Which again is not in any way to say that I don't appreciate your obvious skills. the pump in an Eheim 1048, the waterblock is an Innovatek Innovacool rev3, and i have the GF4 graph-o-matic on the video card. this computer is so quiet its unreal.
Not as expensive as you might think, but having the mini fridge in my basement when I moved in helped especially since my landlord told me to do what I want with it. As for bravery.. maybe, my whole system is uber ghetto and took me a couple of weeks to get going, but there are much easier ways to go. One thing though. Water systems are highy dependent on ambient unless you actively cool your solution which can then introduce condensation among other things. In a nutshell it's immensly satisfying to see your system in action once you get it going whatever type you decide to go with. It is very impressive to the untutored masses which is significant if you have an ego like mine. On the other hand a picturesque work of art like polarys425 has built above is likely to be even more impressive. I love computers.. rally I do.danball1976 said

There are indeed some cons to my setup such as a moderate noise level and no portability at all. Also if I don't air condition the computer room I get condensation when it gets warm. I'm not sure I'm following you on the shroud deal. I'm having trouble picturing what you mean.
