9500 mod to x1

I've read various articles about modding a 9500 to an X1, I was just hoping someone might be able to clear things up for me.

1) What cards can be used in this mod?
2) Where is the best place to purchase said card?
3) Where can I find information/files for performing the mod?

1) Any Radeon 9500 series card or higher (9500/9500 Pro/9700/9700 Pro/9800/9800 Pro)

2) Try Newegg, Pricewatch or Atitech.ca

3) Here's an article on how to perform the modification: http://www.nvworld.ru/docs/sfgl_e.html

Thanks for the article. I'm still a little lost as to which card to purchase though. I do 3d modeling and if I could have the capabilities of an X1 for a lot less money then I'll do it. But which card do I need to get? Do they all perform the same when modded?

I would assume that the different Radeon products would scale accordingly, as the software mods' performance is still dependent on the speed at which information can be processed by the GPU.

Therefore, I would assume that the Radeon 9700 Pro would be the best choice.
