Firefox sorts out security flaws

Computer users are being urged to update the Firefox web browser to close serious security holes in it.

21 security flaws have been found in the popular web browser, according to security firm Secunia. These security lapses in the Mozilla software could allow hackers to hijack computers.

Users of all other Mozilla products should update to the latest versions to protect their computers from attacks. The other Mozilla products may also be affected, warned the US Computer Emergency Readiness Team (Cert).

The Mozilla Foundations have released a new version of Firefox and Thunderbird which contain fixes to some of the security flaws.
