BlackBerry Bold released
It’s November 4, 2008 and that means two things: electing the next President of the United States, and the release of the BlackBerry Bold. Delayed since August, the BlackBerry 9000 arrives in America on AT&T for $299 with a two year contract and a mail-in rebate.
The newest entry to the BlackBerry family carries a wide array of new and compelling features:
- Refined QWERTY keyboard with selective smart-completion.
- A redesigned 480×320 screen reported to have exceptionally vivid clarity.
- First BlackBerry with 3G. Supports 3.6 HSDPA.
- Quad-band GSM 800/850/900/1800/1900.
- Onboard WiFi.
- Onboard GPS radio.
- New BlackBerry OS v4.6.
- A refined browser (that apparently still sucks).
- And brand-new, high-powered guts.
You can land it now over on the AT&T Wireless site.
Icrontic’s uboxing and review of RIM’s newest device will be happening soon, so stay tuned! In the interim, CrunchGear has a great little writeup.
