MSI has just announced a contest that could land you a custom-designed U210, if you’re fancy enough. If the prospect of a free, custom-look netbook tickles your fancy, then Photoshop up, dear reader, it’s time to get your art on.
The contest, dubbed Think! Outside the “Box,” is a laptop design contest that asks the contestants to submit original skin designs for the MSI Wind U210 netbook. The contestant chosen for the best design will win a Wind U210 with their design painted on it, and a Wacom Bamboo Pen & Touch input tablet. First and Second runners-up will receive a standard black & white Wind U210 and the Wacom Bamboo. Finally, three lucky voters will be selected at random to win a Wind U210.
Submissions are accepted until December 7, 2009, and you can vote on designs from now until December 13, 2009, with the winners being announced on December 15.
To all the visionaries who put stickers all over their devices to make it their own, this is your moment to shine. It’s time to prove to the world that we are the music makers, and dreamers of dreams. And well, free computers never hurt, either.
