Firefox updated to v3.5.5
Mozilla has recently updated Firefox to v3.5.5. This latest update to the browser is a small patch, comprised of a few bug fixes to eliminate some crash cases that have been reported.
“ASSERTION: Inserting multiple children without flushing”
crashes [@ nsDocument::RegisterNamedItems(nsIContent*)]
Put a runtime NS_IsMainThread check in nsCycleCollector::Suspect2 and Forget2
startup crash [@ gfxWindowsFontGroup::WhichFontSupportsChar(nsTArray<nsRefPtr<FontEntry> > const&, unsigned int)]
Crashes in gif decoder [@ xul.dll@0x348945][@ xul.dll@0x348864][@nsGIFDecoder2::GifWrite(unsigned char const*, unsigned int)]
Most notable on this list are fixes for a startup crash and a crash in Firefox’s GIF decoder. The Mozilla Foundation has already begun deployment of the update and users should expect Firefox to automatically update soon, if it hasn’t already.
