Gigabyte fixes P55/iPhone sync issues with new BIOS
New BIOS revisions for Gigabyte’s entire lineup of P55-based motherboards have resolved an issue which prevented users from syncing their iPhones on Windows 7 x64.
Taipei, Taiwan, November 09, 2009 – GIGABYTE Technology CO., LTD., a leading manufacturer of motherboards and graphics cards, recently released BIOS updates for their full series of P55 based motherboards to solve the iPhone sync issues with the Intel® P55 chipset. The iPhone syncing issues appear to be limited to only P55 chipset motherboards and now users of GIGABYTE P55 chipset motherboards simply need to update their boards with the latest BIOS version to enable syncing with their iPhone device.
The fix resolves the unavoidable “0xE8000065″ blue screen which is triggered during an iPhone sync for users with Windows 7 x64 and a P55-based motherboard.
As Apple, Microsoft, Intel and motherboard vendors have looked to right the problem, expect other vendors to soon follow suit with BIOS updates of their own.
